I Got A Call Today!

*see below for updates!

We just got a call from our adoption agency this morning - there's a little girl that they think might be a good match for our family. I can't believe I just typed that sentence ~ I canNOT believe that this might happen. To us. Now. Can it be?! OH MY WORD!

The Boss has received a set of medical records and has faxed her information to the International Adoption program docs at CHOP already. They will review her file and give us a recommendation (maybe this afternoon?) of their counsel and prognosis information. I can tell you that she's a little over 2 years old and is "post-op" for the presenting medical issue that put her into the special needs program.

Please pray for The Gang: for wisdom, for clarity of thought and discernment for His Heart over this decision, and for patience and acceptance of whatever path He calls us to in these next 24 hours. For timing and finances to work out according to His plan. And for me: I can't decide whether to cry, throw up, pace, go running (ha! who am I kidding? I never run!), or laugh and dance all over my living room! :)

We'll keep ya all posted!

*Updated at 2 p.m. - We have a phone conference with the IA docs from CHOP at 7 p.m. this evening. Once that's done and we have all the necessary information, we will have some family time to pray and seek the Lord for an answer. How the heck am I gonna get anything done till then?!

I went straight from your email to your blog to see if you had posted...and I got goose bumps AGAIN....goose bumps on my goose bumps on my goose bumps...reading those words! This might be it, Tracy! I am ecstatic!! Oh my word, is right!!
You'll know, Tracy. I can't explain it but I know that you understand. You'll know if this is the child that God intends for you. You'll feel it in your heart and your soul. He will let you know and you will have an amazing peace in knowing that His plan is finally unfolding. Trust Him. He loves you and your family...and He loves this little girl...WHO JUST MIGHT BE YOUR BABY A!!!!!
Oh gosh, keep us updated. I can't wait. You're going to get a million hits on your blog and it will be all me...checking for updates...between checking my email for one from YOU!!!
God bless you and now I'm off to pray!
Between you, Troy (who just had two teeth pulled), and CF husband's family, God sure has been hearing a lot from me today:)
Love ya,
K

I did the same thing Kateri did - came straight here from your LH post!! :>) Tracy, if it is right you will just know in your "knower" that this little gal is yours. You WILL have a peace that passes understanding and it WILL guard your heart and your mind from all those what if's that could haunt you for the next months to come. I will definately pray that God will give you great wisdom and that you will be able to discern what is right for you amid all the emotions and thoughts.
Your description of not knowing whether to throw up, run in circles, jump for joy etc.etc. is so true. The day we got Emalie's files I had the attention span of an ant and got absolutely nothing done - zero ability to focus! (Could that be why we have labor pains - so we can focus??? who knows... :>) Anyway, please keep us posted and we will pray for you. ~ Vonda who can not wait for God to finally allow us to meet Miss Aidan!!

Woo hoo!!!!!! You will know in your heart if this is right.

If you feel the need to cry, throw up, pace, run, laugh, dance - go for it! Do all of those things if you need to. This is wonderful news & you can react however you see fit :o)

Praying for you & anticipating your announcement...
