Going Green

*Edited after reviewing some of the comments: The less-than-loving look here on The Boss's face is due to the fact that I'm snapping a picture of him while working. I was in his space, after all. It is not a reflection of how he feels about this or any project we undertake! He, in fact, does love to paint and work on our home. It gives him such a sense of satisfaction and pride in ownership. Just so you all don't think he's being dragged into this re-do unwillingly!!
And there will be no fancy accent walls or faux finishes or other embellishments. We have two huge matching bookcases that are crackle painted with this green and a lovely off-white that will flank the huge window, and a patterned couch. That's enough eye-candy for me! I prefer the "less is more" approach to my decorating and we've already done the accent wall thing in the family room . . .

My husband gets that same look on his face when I ask him to paint! And when I ask him to hang curtains. And when I hand him the vacuum . . . I think I am sensing a pattern here . . .
Happy WW to you!
He looks thrilled! My hubby hates to do anything that involves the house.
What a great couple posts - but I'm with the Boss on this one! There is not a job I HATE MORE than painting - I don't do it well - and I've actually found a local firefighter who 'supplements' his income with painting! HUZZAH - someone I can trust with the house and never paint again!!
I do love the color - but now that it's underway - don't you think an 'accent wall' maybe a nice 'merlot' color? (I just can't keep straight - it's not in my nature!)
hugs - aus and co.
If the home improvement shows are correct, faux finishes are out of date and they are all painting over them. How interesting!
Love your couch!
Love color on walls, I try to avoid white, only on the trim. Nice choice! Thanks for stopping by my blog, looks like we have something in common, both disgusted with the Stimulus package. And of course Love Politics 4 Mom too!
His look is priceless!
Very nice! And yes, the boss looks cranky so I'm glad to hear it was just a reaction to the picture taking :o)
That looks about the same color as our livingroom, kitchen & diningroom. Except we have 3 different shades of it in there.
I like the"Hi" on the wall.
I LOL'd when I saw that look. I knew that you'd interrupted him for a BLOG photo. Too funny.
The green looks great - but I have to say I was a little surprised. I've always seen you as a "warm hue" person and this green looks to be on the "cool" side. All that said, I love how changing the paint changes the room. It's one of my favorite things to do. Now I just have to find the time to actually get to my painting projects. ugh!
I want to paint my bedroom a green simlar to that. He did a great job.
