This is Dr. Doolittle's imitation of a Calvin and Hobbes's snowart, complete with a grimace of pain at the "sword" pierced through his torso.
That boy really needs to get out and burn off some energy!
This is Shaggy's attempt to make the world's biggest snowball. Shaggy is about 5'4" and by the time he was done, the snowball was about 5' tall. And there were ugly brown, mud tracks all over the front yard tracing the path of the snowball's growth!
LadyBug and Baby Blue Eyes spent the morning at the neighbors' playing and drinking hot cocoa. By the time they wanted to bundle up and play in the snow, it was pouring rain and ice crystals. That's it. That was our storm: 6-8 hours of snow, followed by several hours of rain.
But at least the neighbors got to see the warped humor of my sons. Whooo Hoooo!
P.S. If you need a giggle or a light-hearted view of the dreary winter weather, you really must stop by the above link for Calvin and Hobbes' snow art. It's hilarious. The boys got it from my Dad, and we stop by there frequently to laugh again and again.

Fun Stuff!
Loved it!! My Shaggy loves Garfield and everything has to do with that. I like Calvin and Hobbes'.:)
That is a pretty big snowball! The snow was fun and it really wasn't a nuisance either.
We didn't get snow this year. We had two spells of ice and one dusting of snow. Very odd for us. Now it's blowing things around outside....my mother is convinced that the winter has ended.
I won't be convinced until April. *LOL*
we haven't had a decent snow yet! Only one day off from school and that melted before the kids could get cold!!
We want a BLIZZARD!!!!!! I want to sit on the couch, eat junkfood, and watch the snow!!!
We've only had an "ice day" and delays here and there. I'm fine without it, but my kids really want to go sledding.
We laughed so hard at C and H! I think it's a new favorite here, too, especially with my boy!
Funny! I was missing snow in December and even a bit in January. However my return from Mexico, reminded me of being warm in the sun again. And while I was gone, our daffodils opened up. During the winter months, I'm sold on living down here. But don't talk to me in July and August, I'd give up NC in a heart beat!
