Major Milestone

Baby BlueEyes was completely excited to inform me this morning, as I stumbled out of my bedroom bleary-eyed and seriously under-caffeinated, that his room "totally weeks, Mommy."

Seems the salad and broccoli from last night's dinner worked its magic. Seems he spent most of the early morning hours warming himself in the noxious fumes of his favorite body function. Seems that needing the F@breeze treatment to refresh his room is an important milestone to his smelly little 7-year old self. Seems joining the ranks of his older brothers (excuse the totally intentional pun!) is a goal he's longed to achieve.

This morning, he gleefully achieved it.

Heaven help me.

I am amazed at the fact that little ones fine the idea of tuting so funny and the fact that they are so proud of them selves. I must say that Megan gets it from her father.

That, my friend, is an accomplishment to be proud of.

That's funny! You are truly raising real men.

Along those same stinky lines, I was practicing "ar" words with Kaylene yesterday and Jim interjected and said "Kaylene, spell fart for me." We both gave him the fuzzy eyeball and went back to our serious work. He kept interupting with the same request and after a few more minutes we finished and she left the room to put her homework away.

He followed her and again said, "C'mon, spell fart." She finally paused, looked up at him and said: "J-I-M"

We laughed and laughed and laughed.

Awwww man! So that's what I have to look forward to when I have a little boy? Gross! I already have a husband who does the same thing! hehe...Sounds like you have a cute kid, though.

I feel your pain. Last weekend the boys got up at 5am Sat morning to play the Wii in our family room. By the time I arose and went downstairs it smelled like a guys locker room. Yes I know what one smells like don't ask. :) Anyway, between sweat and other bodily functions going on down stairs I ran back up quickly and just yelled orders down to them. I was not about to stay there long. I love your story though!!! Boys are different then girls.

I saw you featured on 5 Minutes for Mom today and thought, 'hey! I know her!'

As to the other... the child will one day be a Very Important Person and you can humble him with these stories. Or at least commiserate with his wife.

Newbie visiting from 5 minutes. It sounds as if your 7 year old and my nine year old have a lot in common as that's also considered 'graduation' around here.
Cheers

Found you on 5M4M, and had to stop by! I also have 5 kids - 3 boys and 2 girls - and I'm sure you and I have much in common.

My boys are kings of passing gas. I don't know what I'll do when the youngest one figures it out, too!

This made me laugh OUT LOUD! Thanks for the laugh; I needed it! I don't know about your house, but sometimes The Prez joins in the flatulent fun! :))) And Li'l Miss thinks it is HILARIOUS when a froggy escapes her bum!!! Ahhh … the things that make them tick!
