Make Your Voice Heard!

This link will take you to a message that should concern us all. Whatever your own personal political leanings, you have a right (and in my humble opinion, a responsibility!) to make your thoughts and feelings heard on this very important issue. I cannot stay silent. I hope you don't either.

The moment we begin to fear the opinions of others and hesitate to tell the truth that is in us, and from motives of policy are silent when we should speak, the divine floods of light and life no longer flow into our souls.
Elizabeth Cady Stanton, 1890
US suffragist (1815 - 1902)

Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.
Martin Luther King Jr.
US black civil rights
leader & clergyman (1929 - 1968)

As for the other concern I plan to write a letter. I have left the medical community for the very reasons that are being adressed in the link. I now know where to speak out.

I have a thousand opinions……here is just one.

People need to stop just “caring” and need to put action behind their caring. You can’t fight a war from the outside in, it’s best if things are handled from the inside out. So to all the ladies and gents that read these blogs……..what are you doing? Do you have a plan or does your plan get hindered because “there is so much going on”? Does your plan just include praying, or does it include prayer followed with action?

Our medical professionals are put in a tough situation. Do you want to back them up, or just say that you do?

I am single mom of one. Saturday my son and I spent 7 hours helping a single mom move – I just met her a week ago. Yesterday I dropped off bibles that I had collected from church members, and others I purchased at second hand shops. These bibles were dropped off a local youth ministry that reaches out to our lost teenagers. I am not patting myself on the back -- but what I am doing is saying if I can do it so can the rest. So my house isn’t the neatest, so my yard needs some tending -- and to this I say so what.

So blog readers --- bring it on!! If you think your life is too busy to get involved then perhaps you need to reprioritize your life.

Thanks for the reminder PnH - one of the things I love about you is that you never just TALK about doing God's work in your life. You find a way to DO IT! Thanks for your example!
