My son and his friends got to try some Ready to Eat Meals that are served all over the world to our servicemen and women.
All I'm gonna say is that they were not a huge hit.
And the boys are just a little more thankful for the sacrifices of our military.
For more Wordless Wednesday fun,

Wow what a great lesson for them. Happy WW!
We actually ate a couple of those after Katrina! 8=)
We buy them at the commissary to take camping. Let's just say there is a reason every MRE contains a tiny bottle of Tabasco hot sauce!
The emergency response task force eats them, too. There's a VERY VERY good reason why you should drink water with these meals.
Oh man - 'back in the day' when I was a avid backpacker I used to stock up on C-rations and K-rations (C-rats to the world) for when I was 'on the move' - and I think they were BETTER than the MRE's I've had...I can say one GOOD thing about MRE's - they keep you from starving.....;)
So what prompted the kids having some MRE's?
hugs - aus and co.
Once, when my sister and I (as teens) complained about our dinner, my dad said fine, and gave us MREs to eat instead. We never complained again. *grin*
